Sky (formerly MakerDAO) has partnered with Berachain to push the cross-chain expansion of its USDS stablecoin.

Christensen says a group of token holders is attempting a governance attack against the protocol formerly known as MakerDAO. The group denied the accusation.

The liquidity layer will allow users to deposit or withdraw USDS via multiple networks.

MakerDAO rebranded to Sky on Sept. 18, but community members expressed confusion.

Sky’s co-founder said the recent rebrand has caused confusion within its community.

Ethena bought $400M of the stablecoin issued by the protocol formerly called MakerDAO to diversify collateral for its own stablecoin.

The potential expansion is in the discussion stage after a proposal was floated by Sky (MakerDAO) founder Rune Christensen.

Sky users can now migrate their MKR and DAI tokens to SKY and USDS.

The move comes as Wrapped Bitcoin readies to overhaul its ownership structure, with its new joint venture accused of downplaying Justin Sun’s involvement.
