Virtuals Protocol Patches Bug Flagged By Security Researcher

Virtuals Protocol, the largest AI Agent launchpad by market cap, has promised to launch a bug bounty program after quickly addressing a security concern raised by a researcher on X.
In a Jan. 3 X post, a security researcher under the pseudonym Jinu flagged a vulnerability in the Virtual Protocol code. If exploited, the vulnerability could potentially impact the Virtuals ecosystem and prevent the platform from migrating tokens to the Uniswap decentralized exchange (DEX).
Jinu reached out to the Virtuals team on Discord to find out if they were running a bug bounty program after discovering the vulnerability but was surprised to discover they weren’t. The team also reportedly closed the Discord channel where Jinu reported the issue.

An hour later, the Virtuals team announced they had addressed the issue and were working on a bug bounty program. Jinu also confirmed that the team had patched the bug in another X post.
VIRTUAL is down 6% in the past 24 hours, a day after it reached an all-time high market cap of $5 billion.
