Degens Throw In-Flight Party En Route to Token2049

Crypto enthusiasts flying to the Token2049 crypto conference threw a party on a Qatar Airways flight from Dubai to Singapore. Videos surfaced of passengers dancing, singing, and a musician playing the guitar for travelers in first class.
Crypto startup Redacted threw the unconventional 10-hour party for the more than 250 people on board. Some notable figures included Mario Nawfal, blockchain musician Violetta Zironi, and members of the press.

The firm hosted “The Redacted Airways 'Money Can't Buy' Contest,” which included prizes like a UAE Golden Visa, tickets to the F1 Grand Prix in Singapore, a two-week all-expense paid trip to Vietnam, 10 Jirasan NFTs, or a 250 RDAC airdrop.
On board the flight, Redacted co-founder Shan Kumar claimed the idea behind the party was to host the first – and last – Web3 flight. “This is the last time the Qatar staff is going to host a Web3 plane,” Kumar said, “and to be honest that was the goal.”
According to Kumar, things got wild mid-air as he conducted on-flight interviews. “I saw some smoke coming out, and I was thinking, ‘What is happening?’”
Redacted Coin is a data and entertainment company that is backed by big-name backers like Animoca Brands and The Spartan Group. The firm is running Redacted Quests, in which users can participate and receive RDAC tokens in return.
