Pump.fun Lets Creators Launch Coins Priced In Tokenized Stocks

Pump.fun opened token launches to quote assets beyond SOL and USDC on Wednesday afternoon, putting the count at 93 pairs including tokenized Nvidia, Tesla and the S&P 500. Half the revenue from the new pairs goes to the PUMP buyback-and-burn contract. The deepest of the new quote assets holds $3.07 million of liquidity.

Pump.fun said on Wednesday that creators can launch coins paired with tokenized stocks, wrapped bitcoin and ether, and metals, instead of the SOL and USDC pairs the Solana launchpad has offered until now. The product is called Custom Pairs and is live in the create form.

The change brings onto Solana the trade that has driven much of Robinhood Chain's activity since July. Memecoins quoted in tokenized equities pushed Robinhood Chain past Solana in tokenized stock volume in late July, The Defiant reported. Pump.fun is now selling the same structure on its own curve and routing half the fees into buying its token.

Bonding curve and PumpSwap protocol fees on Custom Pairs are the same as on standard launches, and 50% of the revenue goes to the programmatic PUMP buyback-and-burn contract, pump.fun said. The company said in April that it had burned around $370 million of bought-back PUMP, about 36% of circulating supply, and would commit half of revenue to buybacks for a year. The Defiant reported that those buybacks later topped $400 million with the token flat.

Twenty Stocks, One Issuer

Twenty of the pairs are new tokens minted for the launch. Sunrise, the Solana asset-listing platform that routes assets in through Wormhole's Native Token Transfers framework, said it brought 20 US stocks to Solana issued by Backpack Securities, which holds the underlying shares and redeems its tokens 1:1 for real stock.

The twenty named by pump.fun are Boeing, Alibaba, Webull, Costco, Dell, Trump Media, Hims & Hers, IBM, Johnson & Johnson, Lockheed Martin, Lululemon, MGM Resorts, Pfizer, Quantum Computing Inc., Roblox, Reddit, Rivian, Shopify, Snap and UPS. Pump.fun put the full count of supported pairs at 93 across Sunrise and xStocks, the tokenized equity line issued by Backed Finance.

Liquidity Under $3.1 Million

Pump.fun's announcement said the pairs offer "deeper liquidity & lower fees than anywhere else." Its own pair selector, read at 4:50 p.m. ET, showed thinner books than SOL or USDC provide.

Wrapped ETH carried $3.07 million of liquidity, the most of any asset in the picker. Backpack's Micron token held $2.94 million and its SK Hynix token $2.16 million. Among the xStocks, the S&P 500 token held $1.35 million, the Nasdaq-100 token $1.28 million, Nvidia $1.13 million and Circle $1.07 million. Tesla held $836,210 and Wrapped BTC $607,490.

Pump.fun's own thread puts the fees on Custom Pairs at the same level as on a SOL or USDC launch.

No Tier For Stock Pairs

Pump.fun's published fee schedule was last updated May 20, 2026, and covers only SOL- and USDC-denominated pools. The bonding curve charges a flat 1.25% in both, split 0.3% to the creator and 0.95% to the protocol. Graduated PumpSwap pools use a sliding scale keyed to a coin's market cap measured in SOL or USDC, running from 1.25% down to 0.3%.

The page carries no schedule for a pool quoted in a tokenized stock and does not say how an Nvidia-denominated market cap maps onto those tiers. The same doc dates USDC pairs to May 21, the day after its last revision.

Rewards Paid In NVDA

Creator fees on Custom Pairs are paid in the quote asset. A coin paired with tokenized Nvidia distributes creator rewards in tokenized Nvidia, according to pump.fun's FAQ, which sets the flat creator fee at 0.05% to 1%. The create form's input field accepts 0.01 to 1.

Creators can instead opt into Cashback, which routes rewards to traders at 0.3% on the bonding curve and 0.05% after graduation. Fee sharing runs to as many as 10 recipients and locks once applied, with one further update permitted after a community takeover.

Pairings are permanent. Existing coins cannot be converted into Custom Pairs, and Mayhem mode, pump.fun's volatility setting, works only with SOL and USDC.

The first Custom Pair pools were quoted in wrapped bitcoin, not stocks. At least seven opened between 4:48 p.m. and 4:56 p.m. ET, in the twenty minutes after the announcement, with reserves of roughly $3,200 to $3,800 each: coins called Pumpfolio, BITTY, BTC, Sirius, Alpaca, MIM and BİTCAT, all against Wrapped BTC, per GeckoTerminal. No stock-quoted launch had appeared by 5 p.m. ET.

Memecoins quoted in tokenized stocks were already trading on Solana before Wednesday, on Raydium rather than pump.fun. Nine pools pairing a memecoin with the Nvidia xStock opened between Sept. 6 and Sept. 9. A coin called CHATON launched Sept. 8 and turned over $159,881 in 24 hours against $16,618 of liquidity. GPU, from Wednesday morning, did $126,088 against $14,948. VIDIA, CHIP, CHIPS, COMPUTE, DLSS5 and SPAGHETTI account for the rest.

The deepest Nvidia xStock pool on Solana is still the USDC pair on Raydium's concentrated liquidity market maker, at $2.12 million.

Third Parties Hold The Rights

Pump.fun closed the thread with a disclaimer that its platforms do not offer the purchase or sale of stocks, ETFs or other securities, that the tokenized pairs are issued by third parties which control all rights associated with the underlying assets, and that it does not offer services to UK residents.

Tokenized stocks are a $2.93 billion market, up 10.27% over 30 days across 3.05 million holders, rwa.xyz data shows. xStocks accounts for $631.2 million of that across 737 assets.

PUMP Slipped After The Post

PUMP traded at $0.004287 on Wednesday evening, down 0.4% over 24 hours, with a market capitalization of $1.786 billion and $344.3 million of 24-hour volume, per CoinGecko. The token sat near the bottom of a 24-hour range of $0.004259 to $0.004821.

It was at $0.004349 in the five minutes the announcement went out and $0.004283 twenty minutes later, GeckoTerminal data for the PumpSwap PUMP/USDC pool shows. The slide started before the post, with PUMP opening the 3 p.m. ET hour at $0.004727.

Pump.fun took $1.27 million in fees over 24 hours and $46.34 million over 30 days, $35.38 million of which reached the protocol, according to DefiLlama. It has earned $1.214 billion in fees since March 2024.

Market and onchain data retrieved Sept. 9, 2026, around 5:00 p.m. ET.
