Crypto Travel Agency Travala Joins Skyscanner

Skyscanner’s 110 million monthly users can now use more than 100 cryptocurrencies to book travel.

Crypto-native travel platform Travala is now integrated with global travel marketplace Skyscanner and its 110 million monthly users. Users can now book travel with more than 100 cryptocurrencies, including BTC, ETH, and BNB.

The move makes Travala the first crypto-native platform to join Skyscanner, a travel giant that touts over 80 billion daily price searches.

Onboarding the next billion users is a cliché nowadays, but this could be a step in that direction. Tourism, and travel more broadly, is one of the largest industries in the world, with more than 1.3 billion people taking a trip in 2023, according to Statista.

“By integrating Skyscanner’s market-leading search capabilities with Travala.com’s crypto-native platform, we’re making travel planning more accessible and flexible for the growing number of travelers who prefer alternative payment methods,” said Sanja Vukik, head of hotels at Skyscanner.

AVA, Travala’s native token, dropped despite the news. It is down 8% in the past week and has a meager $25 million market capitalization.
