Semler Scientific Adds 237 BTC as Corporate Bitcoin Investments Ramp Up

The latest $23M purchase makes Semler the twelfth largest public corporate BTC holder.

Semler Scientific Adds 237 BTC as Corporate Bitcoin Investments Ramp Up

Semler Scientific, a manufacturer of products and services for the early detection and treatment of chronic diseases, revealed that it has purchased an additional 237 BTC for $23.3 million.

Following the latest purchase, Semler’s BTC holdings have increased to 2,321 BTC, and its BTC yield, which measures the increase in Bitcoin holdings per share, has grown to 99.3%. According to Bitcoin Treasuries data, it is now the twelfth-largest public corporate Bitcoin holder.

“Between December 16, 2024, and January 10, 2025, Semler Scientific acquired 237 bitcoins for $23.3 million with proceeds generated from its at-the-market (ATM) offering and operating cash flow at an average price of $98,267 per bitcoin, inclusive of fees and expenses,” Semler said.

Semler became the latest corporate investor to purchase Bitcoin last week, following MicroStrategy, which recently purchased 2,530 BTC for approximately $243 million. Japanese energy firm Remixpoint also disclosed on Jan. 9 that it had acquired 33.34 BTC for $3.2 million.

Before that, the CEO of Japanese investment firm Metaplanet, Simon Gerovich, announced in an X post that the company intends to expand its Bitcoin holdings to 10,000 BTC in 2025. The company currently holds 1,726 BTC.
