Bitget Wallet Adds Reality's Tokenized U.S. Stocks Alongside Ondo And xStocks

The self-custodial wallet lists rTokens on Arbitrum and Morph from Sept. 15. Reality is part of the Bitget ecosystem, and the announcement's asset count does not match Bitget's own product pages.

Bitget Wallet will list tokenized U.S. stocks and exchange-traded funds issued by Reality from Sept. 15, adding a third tokenized-equity issuer to a wallet that already carries Ondo and xStocks. Reality is part of the Bitget ecosystem, so the wallet is distributing an asset its own group issues.

The tokens, called rTokens, go live on Arbitrum and Morph. Bitget Wallet puts its user base at more than 100 million, which would make the listing one of the widest retail distribution channels yet for tokenized equities.

Seventeen Hundred

The integration brings more than 1,700 tokenized stocks and ETFs, accordig to the release. The Reality catalog includes more than 600 U.S. stocks and ETFs, covering 95% of U.S. market trading volume. Bitget's enterprise page for Reality says 600-plus, and its rToken FAQ says 600-plus.

"Most users globally have had no viable path to U.S. equity exposure, not because of lack of demand, but because the infrastructure was either inaccessible or required giving up custody," said Alvin Kan, chief operating officer of Bitget Wallet. "Reality's model is different: real shares, real liquidity, real dividends, and users keep control of their keys throughout."

Shares At Alpaca

Each rToken is backed one-to-one by U.S. shares held at Alpaca Securities, a FINRA-registered, SIPC-member broker-dealer, with reserves attested daily by The Network Firm. During U.S. market hours, Reality routes orders to Nasdaq and NYSE liquidity rather than to onchain pools alone. Available assets include rNVDA, rTSLA, rAAPL, rAMZN, rSPY and rQQQ.

The release calls Reality a regulated tokenized asset issuance protocol. Reality's own site says rTokens are unregistered securities made available only to eligible non-U.S. persons in permitted jurisdictions. Bitget's enterprise page lists licences in South Africa, New Zealand and El Salvador. The rToken FAQ says the product is generally not available to U.S. persons.

Dividends After Withholding

Eligible dividends are distributed to wallets in stablecoins, the release says. Bitget's rToken FAQ says cash dividends are credited after a 30% tax deduction and automatically converted to USDT. Corporate actions such as stock splits are reflected automatically. All rTokens trade 24 hours a day, five days a week, and 90 of them trade on weekends as well. rTokens are composable in DeFi applications and can be used as collateral.

"Through an open API, wallets, exchanges and protocols can connect directly to rToken liquidity and bring US equity exposure to their users without building the underlying infrastructure from scratch," said Alice Li, head of Reality. "That is how tokenized equities start to scale beyond individual platforms."

Ondo took its catalog past 430 assets across three chains and supplies Trust Wallet's tokenized stock offering. Tokenized stocks hit records across every major venue as the sector reached $2.3 billion.

Bitget was among the venues that cancelled tokenized SpaceX allocations after xStocks failed to deliver the underlying shares.

BGB, the Bitget platform token, traded at $1.93 on Sept. 14, down 1.3% over 24 hours and 3.6% over seven days, with a market value near $1.35 billion, according to CoinGecko. The announcement was not public at the time.
