LIBRA Token Soars to $4B in Valuation Minutes After Milei X Post

Argentine President Javier Milei's X account tweeted in support of a token called $LIBRA and sent the coin soaring above $4 billion in fully diluted value (FDV) just minutes after the post.
"Free Argentina grows!!! This private project will be dedicated to encouraging the growth of the Argentine economy, funding small Argentine businesses and ventures. The world wants to invest in Argentina," Milei tweeted, including the $LIBRA cash tag and its Solana contract address.
The LIBRA token soared to as high as $4.56 FDV just 30 minutes after its launch, and was trading at $3.4 billion at the time of writing, about one hour later.
The Argentine president also posted a link to the website of the "Viva La Libertad Project," which says it will invest the token's proceeds in Argentine entrepreneurs and education.
It's still unclear whether Milei in fact supports this proejct, as public figures' social media accounts are often hacked. A request for comment from The Defiant to the Argentine government's press office was not immediately answered.
