Frog-themed Memecoins Rally as Markets Rebound

PEPE, Based Pepe, Froge, and Ski Mask Pepe are among the top performers.

Frog-themed meme coins are having a good week.

According to Coingecko data, they are the fourth-best performing token category, with Froge, Ski Mask Pepe, and PEPE MAGA among the biggest earners.

As the category leader and largest frog meme by market cap, Pepe is trending after rising by 7% in the last 24 hours. Brett and Turbo, the second and third largest frog-themed meme coins by market cap, are up by 16.5% and 39.4,% respectively.

The category-wide rally is likely due to Pepe hitting an all-time high market cap milestone two days ago. The token surged to a $11.5 billion market cap peak after oscillating between $10 billion and $11 billion from Dec. 8 to Dec. 10.

The recent rally has increased the frog-themed meme coin category’s market cap to $14.6 billion and daily trading volume to $6.2 billion. It remains the second largest animal-themed meme category by market cap, behind only dog-themed meme coins.
