Memecoins are Moving from Ethereum to Solana to Access Moonshot App

Apu Apustaja, a popular memecoin on Ethereum, has gone multi-chain after expanding to Solana in order to be listed on the Moonshot trading app.
On Oct. 8, the Apu team announced, “Today, we are very excited to share that Apu has been listed on Moonshot! You can now buy $APU through the Moonshot app directly with Apple Pay! To make this happen, this also means that $APU has been bridged from ETH to Sol via Wormhole.”
Moonshot took a shot at Ethereum and said, “Legacy memecoins from archaic chains are now bridging for Moonshot.”
Moonshot is an app for trading Solana memecoins that is available in both the Apple and Google App stores. The app picked up significant traction at the end of September, with some users even calling it “Robinhood 2.0.”
The application is partnered with MoonPay, which acts as its on-ramp and off-ramp for users who are not onchain natives. However, the app generates a non-custodial wallet for each user, which can be exported to a traditional wallet solution such as Backpack or Phantom.
The $APU token rallied almost 10% after the announcement and is up 50% in the last week to a $200 million fully diluted valuation.
