Ethereum Creator Vitalik Buterin Invests in Nocturne Labs' $6M Seed Funding Round

U.S.-based startup Nocturne Labs secured $6M in seed funding, in part provided by Vitalik Buterin.

The series of investments was co-led by Bain Capital Crypto and Polychain Capital. It also saw participation from investors including Bankless Ventures, Hack VC, Robot Ventures. Buterin's involvement is noteworthy as the Ethereum co-founder rarely participates in private investments.

Nocturne Labs aims to provide the ability to transact privately within the Ethereum ecosystem. The protocol, which uses zero-knowledge proofs, account abstraction and stealth addresses, allows users to send and receive funds without revealing their transactions.

The protocol's first user-facing product aims to help users manage assets stored within their private account, receiving and depositing funds anonymously, earn yield on idle funds, and withdrawing to fresh wallets for unlinked trading.
