HumaTek is Rebuilding Trust In Humanitarian Aid with Blockchain

Trust in the global aid sector is waning. As disasters continue popping up, from weather to economic downturns and crypto market shifts, more individuals and families than ever before require support, and outdated systems are overwhelmed with demand.
In just 2025 alone, $7.9 billion in foreign aid was rescinded for distribution, and the Agency for International Development (USAID) was eliminated, leaving questions about how to address lost funds, support vulnerable populations, and improve efficiency for decades to come.
Outdated Technology
While aid funds have been reported to be mismanaged or organizations have been unable to keep up with the costs of maintaining aging systems, there is a reluctance to embrace transformative technologies that can combat these surmountable issues in global aid.
Blockchain solutions are helping to restore trust in humanitarian aid and make each aid transaction fully transparent, traceable, and accountable. Blockchain technology’s nature as a public ledger that stores information on-chain makes it immutable, traceable, and transparent – an all-in-one solution that could address its largest issues.
Harnessing Blockchain and Crypto
HumaTek’s mission lies in rethinking traditional models of humanitarian aid and providing the infrastructure to support change. Its multi-platform structure allows donors and recipients to benefit from the full amount of aid funds being managed. Created to support its blockchain-based ecosystem, HumaTek’s HumaCoin utilizes a multi-chain architecture on Binance Smart Chain (BSC) and Polygon zkEVM. This enables instant, fully traceable cross-border transactions, and HumaTek’s native coin recently launched an ICO.
HumaTek is actively expanding its platform, demonstrating a strong commitment to community involvement by making over 1,000 in-person meal donations in its home state of Florida. Since April 2025, the team has also sponsored more than six charity events addressing issues such as human trafficking, health, and poverty relief, and proudly sponsored Tampa's Philanthropists of the Year Awards.
Still, its CEO, Tommy LaRocca, is determined to usher in blockchain-based systems for donors, recipients, and regulators that rebuild trust.
“Our blockchain-based ecosystem will cut out intermediaries to reduce aid delivery costs, providing faster, more efficient, and more secure aid,” he adds.
“Our team is a blend of finance veterans and tech architects who share a core belief: trust is the most valuable asset, and it’s earned with receipts, not rhetoric.”
