The managers will underwrite and distribute DIGIT, a short-dated bond on HSBC Orion that will sit outside the UK's main debt management programme.

Ripple and hedge fund QRT also joined the financing, an extension of the March round backed by NYSE owner ICE. The amount raised was not disclosed.

The proposed subsidiary would also hold client assets and manage stablecoin reserves, but would not accept deposits or make commercial loans.

Ethena will manage reserves, minting, redemptions and compliance for a platform reporting more than $300 million in existing stablecoin balances.

The stablecoin goes live on Arbitrum One with Fluid, Morpho, GMX, Maple and Kraken behind it. A proposal published the same day asks ArbitrumDAO to add 100 million ARB to an incentive program that still has about 63.7 million ARB unspent

The new lending option extends the Morpho-based service, while borrowers remain exposed to liquidation under third-party protocol rules.

The notes offer exposure without shareholder rights. Secondary-market prices can diverge sharply from the eventual payout tied to a liquidity event.

Exchanges must give position holders five calendar days' notice and a chance to exit, while leaving other material contract terms unchanged.

The reported reduction follows a $100 million Tether investment and an expansion of the custodian’s institutional settlement business.

Proposed tickers BITH and ETHK would use futures and reset leverage daily, exposing longer-term holders to compounding losses.
