Wood Says Gov2 Code To Launch on Kusama 'Imminently'

Acala, the Ethereum-compatible DeFi and liquidity hub of Polkadot, has launched Liquid Crowdloan DOT (lcDOT) ahead of its upcoming crowdloan event. The product joins Acala’s suite of derivative products including its recently launched KSM Liquid Staking product (LKSM), now available on Karura, as well as DOT Liquid Staking (LDOT), which will launch on Acala.

Trading is now live on Karura Swap, the First Decentralized Exchange in the Polkadot & Kusama Ecosystem. Karura Swap has opened trading for the KSM/KAR pair, which currently has $3,410,992.00 in Total Value Locked thanks to Karura Swap’s “Bootstrap” mechanism.

Today we’re covering Karura but in order to understand it we have to define its relationship to Kusama as well as Kusama’s relationship to Polkadot, not to mention Karura’s relationship to Acala.
