Project Galaxy has a new name – Introducing Galxe

In 2021, a Web3 star was born.

Two years ago, Project Galaxy was merely an idea—a dream conceptualized by two friends from California. To make this dream a reality, co-founders Charles Wayn and Harry Zhang brought together a team of serial entrepreneurs who believed in the power of Web3. And from that spark grew a galaxy where the possibilities of on and off-chain credentials became limitless.

Last week, it was with great pride and anticipation that our team introduced our official rebrand: GALXE!

The purpose of this re-brand is to better express where we are and where we are planning to go. We’re still the same, passionate team but we’ve evolved! Along with a name shift, we’ve matured our previous logo from three straight lines to flying comets! Comets represent our mission to innovate and are a strong symbol of movement, evolution, and growth. We aren’t static and never plan to be.

Over the past year, Galxe has achieved countless milestones ranging from 10+ chain integrations, launching our own Token, and being awarded The Binance Launchpool Project ofthe Year Awardin July 2022. It was with continual support from our community, that Galxe was able to become the forerunner of Learn-To-Earn and Participate-To-Earn Campaigns. Protocols leveraged Web3 credentials from Galxe’s credential data network to power marketplace growth, issue Soulbound Tokens, increase community engagement, boost DEX growth, and generate brand awareness.

Along with these milestones, Galxe is proud to announce that we have 4.9 million Galxe ID Users. Galxe launched this feature in October 2021 which, in turn, revolutionized Web3. The use case for Galxe ID was simple—it aimed to become your Web3 Linkedin which meant a universal name that represented your multichain/multiwallet identities. Galxe ID is becoming one of the most important tools for recording users on and off-chain footprints in the Web3 world. With this tool, users are able to display credentials collected in the Web3 world and showcase the history of real life and online achievements.

As Galxe evolves through an exciting rebrand this month, we wanted to introduce a brand new feature in connection with Galxe ID.

Introducing, Galxe Passport!

Galxe Passport is your universal identity for Web3 adventures. It stores your identity information securely and anonymously. You will be able to use this as your universal identity across different applications for compliance purposes. You will also get your unique Galxe Passport Soubound Token in your wallet to be distinguished as a verified individual. Enabling our partners to prevent Sybil attacks.

Galxe Passport was created to be a secure, private way for users to store data. User’s private information will be encrypted with their password. These data are only accessible to the user, all others (including Galxe) can only access these data upon user’s permission. Users who want to obtain a Soulbound Token can do so by going through the verification process on Galxe which will then allow them to mint and claim their Galxe Passport Token.

One of the key benefits of this feature is the convenience for users to verify on Galxe and then use the Passport across Web3. With Galxe Passport, users are able to possess their privacy data which allows for greater online ownership. Along with ownership, users can foster an environment of security by encrypting their data all while remaining completely anonymous.
