Solana-based ‘Rubber’ NFT Collection Soars 50x

Rubber, an NFT collection that was minted yesterday on Solana through Magic Eden’s launchpad, has captured the attention of traders and collectors alike, with its floor price briefly touching 23 SOL ($2,000) – roughly 90 times the mint price of 0.25 SOL ($22).

The floor price has since settled at 11 SOL ($950) at the time of writing, with trading volume on the Magic Eden marketplace crossing 11,000 SOL ($950,000).

Created by artist and NFT collector Pop Punk, the collection of 1,000 images was generated using Midjourney AI to explore “the compelling moments in our journey and the undying human need to see what is beyond.”

Notably, Rubber has drawn the attention of art collectors from the Ethereum and Bitcoin communities, with several users posting that it’s their first Solana NFT.
